Tables can make excellent show pieces for your Kitchen or Dining room
Your complete set may not need to be refinished if table top is the only piece requiring attention. However if the entire set is to be redone, all items should be done at the same time for consistency and economy
Post catalysed lacquer as well as pre-catalysed lacquer are used in our shop. Heavy use items such as table tops are refinished in post-catalyzed lacquer
The usual areas requiring special attention when refinishing, but do not necessarily require a complete stripping, which means less cost to you, includes:
Furniture that usually requires a complete strip includes ones with missing, lifting veneer or a break down of the existing finish, which normally makes the piece feel sticky.
If you wish to see the texture of the grain, you do not require the wood to be pore filled, which reduces the cost.
When refinishing, there are many different sheens available to choose from: Dead Flat (No sheen) to High Gloss (Normally found on pianos) and everything in between. All sheens are available at the same cost.
A mirror finish requires a perfectly level surface followed by polishing the finish.
